Statement Of Faith
I believe in the verbal, complete inspiration of Scriptures; that it is without error and the supreme and final authority.
I believe in one God eternally existing in three Persons - Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit.
I believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary and that He is true God and true man, that He is the only and sufficient Mediator between God and man.
I believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit and that His ministry is to reveal Christ to men in the regeneration, reconciliation and sanctification of their souls.
I believe that man was created in the image of God, and that he sinned and thereby incurred spiritual death.
I believe the gospel is of first importance, and the gospel is this: “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Cor. 15:3-4).
I believe in the substitutionary death of the Lord Jesus Christ for our sins, in the resurrection of His body, His ascension into Heaven, His rapture of the Church, and His personal and visible future return to the earth.
I believe participation in Believer’s water baptism is a beautiful public testimony by a believer demonstrating their faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
I believe the Lord’s Supper is a celebration proclaiming the Lord’s death until He comes (1 Cor. 11:26).
I believe that the Spirit filled life of a professed believer is a valid confirmation of one’s faith (Gal 5:18-25).
I believe that the church is a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the head, and that all regenerated people are members; and that the local, visible church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ associated with worship (Rom 12:1, Phil 3:3), evangelism (2 Tim 4:5), and the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor 5:18) - that of serving as ambassadors for Christ appealing to all on behalf of Christ to be reconciled to God (2 Cor 5:20).
I believe that all those who through faith are justified in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in full enjoyment of God’s presence, and that those who through unbelief refuse to accept God’s offer of mercy will spend eternity in everlasting punishment.
